Snow. Will it ever end? uh...no. I went out to my car early this morning ready for another bright sunny day when I saw the snow. I was very close to shedding a tear.
The positive side to this situation, it just makes me realize how much I LOVE AZ! I love just about everything about that beautiful place!
Reasons:
-The SUN! so hot, so wonderful
-No snow
-Palm trees
-70 deg. christmases
-Warm rain
-The never-ending blue blue sky
-In the dead of winter all you need is a light sweater
-Everything is still as bright and a live in the winter as it is in the summer
-No snow
-Orange trees in the backyard
-The beautiful scent orange blossoms
-Gecko Grill
-The sun sets
-Sunburns
-Pools
-Monsoons
-The Mesa Temple
-The movie theaters
-No snow
I love good old Gilbert, AZ. I always get so excited at the prospects of visiting home. I have learned to appreciate it and my family so much since moving away.
***Side note***
Today is the exact 6 month anniversary of me moving away to this place they call Cedar City. Its hard to believe that 6 months ago today I started this new adventure. Six months ago today I also met one of my new best friends. My roommate Jenna was the only other one here when I moved in and we became just the best of friends real quick. I really do love it here. I have met so many great people and have made so many memories!

Fantasy Up-Do
At school today was our fantasy up do contest. We had to get in pairs and create an amazing piece of art on someone's head using hair. I was stressing over this because I am in no way amazing at styling hair. Cut, color, or perm, I can handle just fine...styling is a sore spot for me.
It took a while for inspiration to strike my partner and I but it finally came. What do I do best? Eat. and what is my absolute favorite thing to eat? Spaghetti. So when my partner approached me with the idea of doing a plate of spaghetti I was all over it!
Good thing I was blessed with such a wonderful, long blonde hair-ed roommate. She is such a good sport! We decided that in order to kick our creation to the next level we would have to use real spaghetti sauce. KimDuke didn't mind at all, much to everyone's surprise.
I was pretty darn pleased with the outcome of our fantasy do. We had judges walking around voting for their favorites, a lot of them didn't see it with the sauce on but we are hoping we placed.
I consider myself extremely blessed to be going to hair school. I love that I get to do something so fun and that I love everyday, all day. Not to mention the fact that I get regular pedicures, manicures and facials all for the purpose of furthering someone's education.

Whaddup
Amanda Jean is giving blogging a go. My sisters have been bugging me to join the blogosphere for a while now and I am finally giving in. So.. I am currently livin the good life in Cedar City, Utah going to Evans Hairstyling College.
I have myself 3 lovely roommates of whom I love! We are always having a good time being ridiculous. Here in apartment 18 we have the oldest roomie aging in at 21, Kimberly Suzanne Duke, or KimDuke. She is from Vegas and is the craftiest and most creative person you will ever meet.
Next we have Michelle, but we call her shell shell. Shell is 20, from Provo, Utah and is going into nursing. Last but not least is Jenna Durfey, the other freshman. She is 19 from American Fork, Utah and is also going into nursing. She is always up for a deep conversation and a good time, I just love her.
I love school! I love meeting all sorts of people. They are all very unique and have a different story to tell, and they are usually more than willing to share those stories. I have finally gotten myself to a point where i don't gag every time i trim old man ear hairs so I'm on top of my game.
And so let the blogging begin..
